Injury hit Workington Reds have recruited a new midfielder ahead of their important NPL Premier Division game tomorrow.
Amadou Doumbouya joins the Reds on dual registration from Chorley and subject to FA clearance, will go straight into tomorrow’s team for the key game at FC United of Manchester.
He signed for Chorley to be part of the Magpies Under-21s squad and was loaned to Bamber Bridge towards the end of last season.
Doumbouya made team appearances for them in NPL Premier Division, scoring one goal.
Reds had 13 first team players unavailable, mainly injured, at a roll call in mid-week but manager Mark Fell was hoping at least a couple might be ready to return tomorrow.
It is a big game for both clubs as FC United sit next to bottom of the table without a home win all season. Their three victories have all come away from home.
