Cleator Moor Celtic produced the performance of the season to earn the result of the season.
Gareth Agnew’s men beat Tempest United 2-1 and became the first side in the West Lancashire League to lower the colours of the Bolton side.
Tempest arrived on the Moor with a playing record of 12 wins and four draws from their 16 games having scored 59 goals and conceded only 13.
Their hosts, by comparison, had only won four out of 16 and had been beaten nine times.
But the form book was certainly ripped-up as the young Celtic side ignored the stats and came up with a winning performance.

Jordan Pendlebury had given Tempest a 1-0 half-time lead with a goal in the 31st minute.
It was game on when Zac Benson-Lester levelled after 58 minutes for the second home game in a row Celtic scored late to win it.
Four minutes from the end Adam Smith popped up with the decisive goal to administer Tempest’s first defeat of the season.
On Saturday Celtic are involved in Richardson Cup action when they travel to Fulwood Amateurs for a second round tie.
