Whitehaven Amateurs Yellows and Cleator Moor Celtic Under-12s Girls earned high praise for their efforts in difficult conditions.
Although they all seemed pleased to hear the final whistle they played well in a freezing wind, so credit to them all.
There were some good goals, including one spectacular lone-range strike and some decent football given the poor weather.
