Deer Orchard’s abandoned game with Dearham Commercial will count after the West Cumberland Sunday League committee ruled the result stands.
Dearham started with eight, were soon down to seven through injury and a second player indicated he was not able to continue at half-time.
Down to six players the referee had no option but to abandon the game, although Dearham had been prepared to forfeit the points.
They had suffered four cry-offs on the morning of the match and that effectively rule out their title challenge after a good start to the season.
Orchard, however, are still in with a shout for the Premier Division championship, currently six points behind leaders Northside with three games in hand.
Reigning champions Northside have three games to play while Orchard have six more fixtures to fit in.
Grabbing the goals on Sunday were Keith Skillen (3), Mike Graham (2), Luke Graham, Louis Pickering, Sam Wright and Ben Rathbone.
