Keswick head coach Garry Holmes has been praising the progress of the club’s second team.
Following victories for both senior teams at the weekend Holmes said: “Our Cumbria 1 team continues to build and support the men’s squad by being more competitive.
“We had changes in the 2nd XV throughout the week, right up until Saturday morning, which is a testament to how hard our boys are working on and off the pitch, for the team and for the open age men’s squad as a whole.

“Our Seconds season is now on the Christmas break until the new year, but we need to back up the win at Aspatria next weekend with another big performance against a proud Kirkby Lonsdale team.
“Despite being bottom of the Regional Two North table, they will be in good spirits after their big home win, defeating Carlisle 20-0 on Saturday.”

The seconds had signed off for the seasonal break with a 26-5 win over Windermere.
Callum McClary, Lewis Pepper, Dan Craghill and Leo Horsbrugh scored the tries and there were three conversions by Ben Clark.
