Hospice at Home West Cumbria has launched a lottery to help raise crucial funds to support its palliative and end of life services.

The Affinity lottery, operated by Woods Valldata, offers people the opportunity to contribute to the charity’s mission while also having the chance to win up to £25,000 weekly, plus runners-up prizes.

For every £1 entry at least 50p will go to helping people living in the local community.

Hospice at Home West Cumbria provides end of life care in the comfort of a patients’ home, ensuring they receive the best possible care in their final months, weeks or days.

The hospice also provides bereavement support, offering invaluable emotional care for families during difficult times.

The charity said the new lottery will be an integral part of the charity’s fundraising efforts, helping to ensure it can continue providing these services at no cost to the patients or their families.

All proceeds raised will go towards supporting first class palliative and end of life care and support services for local people.

Holly Harkness, community fundraising co-ordinator for the charity said: “We are thrilled to launch this exciting new way for people to support our charity.

“Not only will participants have the chance to win some fantastic prizes, but they will also be helping us to provide care to those who need it most.”

In addition to supporting the lottery, the charity welcomes donations, volunteers, fundraisers and community partnerships to help maintain and expand its services.
