A woman will take part in the UK’s toughest endurance race to raise funds for West Cumbria Search and Rescue.
Sarah Perry, who is an officer with the organisation, will attempt the 268-mile Spine Race – which follows the Pennine Way from Derbyshire to the Scottish Borders from Sunday.
She said: “This challenge is not just about personal achievement; it is a heartfelt commitment to support West Cumbria Search and Rescue.
“This dedicated team specialises in land, water, and flood rescue. All members are volunteers who are on call around the clock to provide essential emergency services to our community during times of crisis.
“West Cumbria Search and Rescue is a charitable organisation that relies solely on fundraising efforts. Your support can make a significant difference in ensuring they have the resources needed to continue their vital work.
“I am aiming to raise £500 for this noble cause. Every contribution counts and will help equip the team with the tools they need to make a difference.”
