A fundraiser has been launched to help a Whitehaven café owner go to Germany for cancer treatment.
Eva Naan, 46, runs the Silly Goose café, in The Rum Story.
After beating cancer just a few years ago, Eva was told she had an aggressive tumour which was was spreading at an alarming rate.
Eva’s family, who said she had devoted her life to the business and making people smile, were devastated by the news and have launched a fundraiser to help her access cutting-edge treatment in Germany.
Eva’s husband said: “Eva is due to have more palliative chemotherapy in the coming days if she is well enough to tolerate more chemotherapy.
“We are now fundraising to have her treated privately at a clinic in Europe.
“I am prepared to sell my house and use everything I have so Eva may undergo this revolutionary treatment as it is the right thing to do.
“The treatment is very expensive, absolutely anything towards that would help us a great deal.
“If possible please help and support us in raising money to pay for life-saving cancer treatment for the Silly Goose, if not even a good luck wish would mean so much to us all.”
Since launching the fundraiser, the family have already raised £7,380 of their £16,000 target.
Eva said she was overwhelmed by the kindness of the community and the support people have shown towards her on social media.

Eva also urged people to pop in to the Silly Goose café to show their support.
