
Several schools across Cumbria are closing today due to Storm Éowyn.
The Met Office has issued an amber warning – on top of its previous yellow warning – throughout the day for today, Friday January 24.
Cumbria Crack is aware that schools which will be closed include:

- The Whitehaven Academy
- St Joseph’s, Workington
- Beckstone Primary School, Harrington
- Westfield Nursery & Primary School, Workington
- Ashfield Infant & Nursery School, Workington
- Ulverston Victoria High School
- Settlebeck School Sedbergh
- Brunswick School, Penrith
- North Lakes School, Penrith
- Beaconside Primary School, Penrith
- Clifton School
- Culgaith CofE School
- Allithwaite School, Grange-over-Sands

- St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School Penrith

Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith said at 8.20pm yesterday that intended to remain open.
