Dishes which appeared on BBC show Great British Menu will be on offer at Lake District restaurant.

Mark McCabe, head chef at Simon Rogan’s Henrock at Linthwaite House, in Bowness, appeared on the show representing Scotland.

During the series, Mark competed against an array of top UK chefs, cooking dishes based on this year’s theme of Great Britons.

The chefs drew inspiration from important figures from their regions as they developed their menus, with the best dishes being showcased at a banquet.

Mark narrowly missed securing a final course at the banquet but as the fourth-placed chef, he was awarded the canapé course, serving up thistle-shaped tuiles filled with creamy venison parfait.

Since then, Mark and his team, with executive chef Paul Burgalières, have developed three new menus that feature some of the dishes from the Great British Menu finals, including his starter, dessert and pre-dessert.

The Short Menu is perfect for a lighter, midweek dinner, while the Full Menu allows diners to experience and enjoy Mark’s highlights from the Great British Menu.
