Knoxwood Wildlife Rescue Trust is urging people to take injured animals to their nearest vet after a tree fell on an electricity pylon at the centre.
The centre, near Wigton said: “We have a tree through an electricity pylon, no power, our pig pen is totalled and a portion of the sanctuary is blocked off.
“We are waiting for an emergency electrical team.
“The piggies are safe!”
The centre said it hoped to be open as soon as it was safe to do so.
