An injured person has been rescued from a West Cumbrian beach.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue team and St Bees RNLI were called out to help the individual on Monday, on the beach in St Bees.
Rescue officers and crew assessed and treated the person and carried them by stretcher into the warmth of the lifeboat station until transport to hospital could be arranged.
