In pictures: Whitehaven play with pride and passion against Warrington

Almost 4,000 people saw Whitehaven host Warrington Wolves in the third round of the Challenge Cup.

It was the Wolves first visit to Whitehaven .

Although the Wolves were dominant throughout at the Ortus Rec, Whitehaven were undeterred by the display and in the second half, Jay Weatherill managed to break through the pack to score.

Warrington were on top for most of the match.

Official attendance was 3,980.

Whitehaven said: “Massive thanks to each and every one of you that turned out for our lads and club today.

“Massive thanks to all the Warrington Wolves fans who made the journey up.
