An exhibition by two Cumbrian artists will open later this month, celebrating the remarkable nature of things.
The show, by David Raine and Claire Philpott, will be held at Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal from March 28 to May 17.
Claire, an art teacher at a Cumbrian secondary school, produces work that combines images associated with childhood, including family photographs and children’s book illustrations, with drawings created by children in response to the world around them.
A multi-award-winning artist, David moved to Burton-in-Kendal four years ago to concentrate on painting.
The former art teacher celebrates the beauty and splendour woven into the natural world, focusing on the landscapes of the Lake District, exploring light, reflection, and grandeur.
