People in Aspatria suffered low water pressure or no water at all over the weekend.
United Utilities said it was continuing to investigate the cause but pressure had now returned to normal.
A United Utilities spokesman said: “We’re aware that some customers in Aspatria experienced poor pressure over the weekend and we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience this caused.
“Pressure has now returned to normal, and we will be taking a number of steps to mitigate against the risk of it happening again.”
Townsfolk have taken to social media to say water pressure dropping in the area was a ‘long-standing’ problem but when asked by Cumbria Crack, United Utilities could not provide us with any extra information.
