
A body has been found in the Lake District in the search for a missing man from Manchester.
Cumbria police said efforts to locate 58-year-old Paul Pennington resulted in the recovery of a body in the area of Helm Crag, near Grasmere last night, May 15.
The body was found by mountain rescue volunteers working as part of the efforts to find Paul.
While formal identification has yet to take place, Paul’s family have been informed of developments.
Police thanked everyone who shared the missing person appeals for their assistance in the search, as well as mountain rescue volunteers.
