A man has been banned from entering Carlisle’s city centre and drinking alcohol outside for five years.
Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team secured the criminal behaviour order today at Carlisle Magistrates Court to prevent Lucian Lliescu’s anti-social behaviour.
Lliescu, 50, of no fixed address, must not enter Carlisle city centre and must not display behaviour in a public place likely to cause nuisance or annoyance to the public.
He must also not be in possession of any unsealed vessel containing alcohol in any public place, except inside a licensed premises.
The order follows Lliescu being sentenced at Carlisle Magistrates Court for theft, criminal damage and a public order offence all committed earlier in the year.
PC Beal, of Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This criminal behaviour order will prevent Lliescu from further criminality and help protect business owners and local residents in Carlisle.”
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
Anyone who witnesses Lliescu breaching the terms of his criminal behaviour order should contact the police.
