A predicted rain but suddenly sunny lovely Saturday morning did not stop the 361 runners at parkrun.
In the midst of these runners was Paul Brewer, he started doing a huge cycle route from Land’s End to John o’Groats where he also did the Land’s End parkrun, the Penrith parkrun (the midway point) and soon to do the John o’Groats parkrun in Thurso next weekend at the very top of Scotland. Even colder than the Lake District!
Tailwalker Linda Stamper has also completed 400 parkruns at Penrith and she says that she enjoys the friendliness of all who partake in the event and she loves the company of others on a sunny Saturday morning.
Dave Johnson has hit a massive milestone of 400 parkruns as well.

He must be sitting at home right now feeling very proud of himself and I would be too if I could accomplish anything like that. Wow!
We also had our very own Ken Rogers who started his first parkrun 10 years ago and he had accomplished a huge milestone of 200 parkruns!
We should all be very glad we have these wonderful people helping to bring our community together in a great environment with amazing people.
All the results, if you want them can be found at: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/penrith/results/510/ If you want to help out on a Saturday speak to the run director when you come down to Frenchfield.
Thanks to all who volunteered.
