
Emergency services were called after a collision on a stretch of the A66 in West Cumbria yesterday.
The road between the Bridgefoot roundabout and the Fitz roundabout near Cockermouth was closed following the incident, which happened at around 6.40pm yesterday, Saturday July 12.
Two air ambulances were among the emergency services attending.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area where possible and last night, Cumbria police said the closure would be in place for some time.
The road is reopen this morning, Sunday July 13.
