
Two people have died after a collision on the A66 in West Cumbria.
Emergency services were called to the incident near Workington, at around 6.40pm on Saturday July 12.
The collision involved a silver Audi A3 and a black Ford Focus.
The front seat passenger of the Ford was a woman in her 30s. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was transferred to hospital, where he was said to be in a stable condition.

The road was closed from the Bridgefoot roundabout to the Fitz roundabout.
Two air ambulances were among the emergency services called to the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
