Saturday saw the 2025 Dog Produce take place at Dubbs Lane End for a six race meeting where 59 hounds competed.

After the Bitch Produce in June it was now the turn of the dogs to see which one was best on the day.

With the weather set to be very warm the race times were moved to later in the day with a 5pm start with the trails sponsored by Lakes Loos.

The seniors had an entry of five and Huntsman’s Rebel was sent off as the favourite for Denise and Jenny Bland, and Graham Little.

The hounds can be seen after roughly 10 minutes running as they climb out of sight and leading the way was Huntsman’s Time, also for Denise and Jenny Bland and Graham Little with Mel in second for Les and Graham Reid and Ellie Napier.

There was then a five-yard gap to Miterdale Dusk and Kinniside Bobby for Sophie Steele who were closely followed by Huntsman’s Rebel bringing up the rear.

The hounds were then seen again dropping down the old Dubbs Lane finish and it was Miterdale Dusk who was leading from kennel mate Kinniside Bobby with a small gap to Huntsman’s Rebel in third and another gap to Mel in fourth.

Then as they showed onto the finish the same pair led and they had a great race to the line with Miterdale Dusk earning the win by a length from Kinniside Bobby before a small gap to Mel who finished in third.

The senior maidens also had five runners with Miterdale Green Queen for Sophie Steele, Jake and Zach Green sent off as the favourite.

As they came into sight before they climbed onto the fell it was kennel mates Foxparke Dealer, Foxparke Whoosh and Foxparke Majesty for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, and Brooke Butler who were heading the race from Miterdale Green Queen and Huntsman’s Quirk for Denise and Jenny Bland, and Graham Little.

The hounds then came back into sight dropping down the old Dubbs Lane finish and it was Foxparke Dealer who was leading from Miterdale Green Queen and Foxparke Majesty with a small gap to Foxparke Whoosh.

As they showed onto the finish Miterdale Green Queen came on well to win by fve lengths from Foxparke Dealer with kennel mates Foxparke Whoosh and Foxparke Majesty in third and fourth.

The main event of the day the Dog Produce then followed and it was a relativel6y small field of 11 with current championship leader Delta Fortune sent off as the favourite for Sarah and Baz Harper, and Hartley Robinson.

As the hounds slipped they had a bit of a scale and two litter mates Brown Sugar for Graham and Les Reid and Ellie Napier and Foxparke Waddle Waddle for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Neil Brady and Brooke Butler went away nicely.

As they showed back into sight dropping down Brown Sugar was leading the way from I Am It and Let It Be for Ruth Dixon and Charlie Dixon.

Eleanor Chisholm and Brian Graham with Eleanor’s Lass

As they showed onto the finish I Am It came on to claim the win from Let It Be to give Ruth and Charlie a first and second, with Brown Sugar in third.

Denton Phantom for Lee, Hayley, Joey and George Wall, Sandra Mordue and Ted Storrows was in fourth ahead of Foxparke Waddle Waddle with the final ticket going to Miterdale Wow for Anthony, Steph, Sophie, Katie and Alfie Steele.

It’s worth noting that Brown Sugar, Denton Phantom, Foxparke Waddle Waddle and Miterdale Wow were all bred from Foxparke Shackalacka Boom Boom/Miterdale Shadow and the litter have been very consistent throughout the season.

The Open Pups then lined up with a field of 11 at the slip and Huntsman’s Unite for Denise and Jenny Bland, and Graham Little was sent off as the favourite.

As the hounds slipped, the cows got in the way and they had a couple of scales but Foxparke Cheese and Beans for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Glenis Farren went away at the front with Huntsman’s Unite.

When they showed down the old Dubbs Lane finish Foxparke Cheese and Beans was still leading from Jenny’s Chance for Denise and Jenny Bland, Graham Little and Ella and Kyle Gallacher with Foxparke Rita’s Rose for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Darren Clark in third.

Sophie Steele with Miterdale Dusk

Huntsman’s Unite was fourth followed by Minnie for Les and Graham Reid, Erin Rowlandson, Barbara Jones and Stephen Walker.

When they came onto the finish Foxparke Cheese and Beans was still at the front but was passed in the last few yards by Huntsman’s Unite who claimed the win by a length.

Jenny’s Chance finished in third with Foxparke Rita’s Rose in fourth and Minnie in fifth. The final ticket went to Zoya for Stephen Irving and Caroline Graham.

The Open Restricted trail had 20 entries with Foxparke Fairlady and Foxparke Sidekick for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler sent off as joint favourites.

As they were slipped and went out of sight it was just a line of hounds racing on well. As they showed down the old finish it was Foxparke Sidekick who was leading from Let’s Go For It for Ruth Dixon and Charlie Dixon with Foxparke Honk Honk for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler in third.

Denise and Jenny Bland with Huntsman’s Unite

But on the finish Black Eyed Shadow for John Lyon had come through to claim the win by a length from Foxparke Sidekick with Lets Go For It in third ahead of Foxparke Honk Honk and Foxparke Fairlady. The final ticket went to Huntsman’s Quartz for Ian Donaldson.

The final trail of the evening was the Veterans with a field of eight lining up at the slip. Miterdale Duchess for Denis Peare and Jackie Gill was sent off as the favourite.

As they were slipped the hounds were difficult to make out due to the sun beginning to set but when they showed down the old Dubbs Lane finish Eleanor’s Lass for Brian Graham and Eleanor Chisholm was leading the way from kennel mate Bretton for Brian Graham and Julie Burkinshaw. Black Edition was in third for Lisa and Holly Whitefield.

As they showed onto the finish Eleanor’s Lass finished well to claim the win from Bretton with Black Edition in third and Eagle Rock for Linda Neale, Mark, Josh and Georgia Bryden in fourth.

Young Harry for Brian Graham finished in fifth and the final ticket went to Foxparke Bugaboo for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler.
