A Carlisle woman has been banned from shops in the city after being found guilty of theft.
Corrina Kirkpatrick, 35, of Close Street, was found guilty by magistrates yesterday and will be sentenced on November 27.
Cumbria police have secured a three-year criminal behaviour order against Kirkpatrick.
The Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team applied for the order to restrict Kirkpatrick’s criminal behaviour and protect local businesses.
The order means she cannot:
- Enter any premises part of the Carlisle Shopwatch/Cumbria Safer Business Partnership (Carlisle) except for The Lanes Shopping Centre and Superdrug.
- Enter any Farmfoods store.
- Enter any Tesco store.
- Enter any Heron Foods store.
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
