Increased reports of anti-social behaviour by young people in Kirkby Stephen are being tackled by police.
Eden Police said they had been contacted about issues of ongoing anti-social behaviour, particularly at the cricket club, football club and Christian Head car park.
Officers have increased patrols at key times and will visit Kirkby Stephen Grammar School to talk to pupils about the effects of anti-social behaviour.
Eden police said: “Working with other agencies, including Kirkby Stephen Town Council, Westmorland and Furness Council and Kirkby Stephen Grammar School as well as community-led intelligence, we have identified a number of people we believe to be involved.
“We have provided anti-social behaviour kits to Kirkby Stephen Cricket Club.
“We are due to visit those named individuals whilst CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.”
Eden police added that the owner of a vehicle which has been highlighted as causing issues in the town centre will be sent a letter.
It added: “It will explain the powers the police have under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act to seize vehicles which have been driven in an anti-social manner, which could lead to them being destroyed.
“Thank you to all the residents who have reported the issues and who continue to supply information to us to help tackle anti-social behaviour and crime.”
