
Armed police raided several addresses in South Cumbria after reports that a man was threatened by a group with a knife and hammer.
Cumbria police said an arrest had been made following the warrants being executed at addresses in the Barrow, Ulverston, Dalton, and Askham-in-Furness areas by officers and armed police.
Emergency services were called at around 11.40pm on Thursday to a report of a man at an address in Barrow being threatened by a group of around five people armed with weapons said to include a knife and a hammer.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Police raids were carried out yesterday afternoon and evening, October 31.
Cumbria police said: “At this time, one individual has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and aggravated burglary. They remain in police custody.”
