A child is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash in South Cumbria.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle collision on the A590 Dalton bypass yesterday, Tuesday November 11, at around 8.50am.
It involved a black Range Rover and white Hyundai i10.
A man in his 30s has also been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time and may have relevant dashcam that can assist the investigation, to contact them.
