Over 40 vehicles were stopped last night as part of a police operation in Workington.
Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Team officers and the roads policing unit were at Salterbeck yesterday, Thursday March 27.
Officers stopped more than 40 vehicles, carrying out checks on driving licences, tax, insurance and MOTs as well as the condition of the vehicles.
Allerdale police said: “The vast majority of vehicles stopped were all in order but officers have had to report two drivers for having tyres under the legal tread limit and one driver has been given a requirement to produce proof of insurance.”
