The top three sides in the Cumbria League’s Premier Division will be looking to maintain their 100% records this afternoon.
All are away from home but the trio will expect to continue their winnings runs and consolidate their positions in the leading group.
Whitehaven will be involved in a West Cumbrian derby at Cleator and on paper probably have the toughest game.
The home side have started with two wins out of their three games and will obviously be keen to put one over on their neighbours.
Whitehaven still haven’t been able to complete the registration of their pro Kevin Perera. They hoped it would be sported this week but have hit another delay.
They were hoping to recruit Bacup pro Garnett Tarr who looked so impressive for them at Workington last week.
Cockermouth travel to Dalton in good heart after an excellent win at champions Furness last week while their hosts are still looking for their first success of the campaign.
It’s a similar situation for Keswick who travel to Wigton, still to open their account for the season.
Champions Furness have suffered back-to-back defeats to Keswick and Cockermouth but they have a local south Cumbrian derby in prospect at Millom, who would no doubt love to turn them over as they try to turn things round.
The final game is at Workington who have Carlisle seconds as the visitors to the Valentine Ground.
