A teenager has been arrested following reports of a seagull being shot with a catapult in Carlisle.
Cumbria police said the boy has since been released under investigation.
Officers were called at 10.36pm on Tuesday July 7, to the reports and enquiries remain ongoing.
Carlisle neighbourhood policing team said they are aware of a video circulating online relating to the incident.
They are strongly encouraging people not to share or speculate on unverified information.
