Trees at a Barrow school are set to be cut back after they damaged bin lorries.
Westmorland and Furness Council said the willows at Vickerstown Primary School had encroached onto a backstreet behind Latona Street and damaged its bin lorries on collection day.
The council has published an urgent five day notice on its planning portal to say it would carry out work to reduce back the damaged willow trees and carry out a crown lift.
A crown lift involves removing lower branches of a tree to increase clearance between the ground and the lowest limbs.
The minimum requirement would be to create a clearance of 5.2m to prevent damage to property.
Plans were submitted on July 7 and approved on July 13.
