Cumbria police have confirmed that the body of a man was found in the Bowness-on-Solway area at around 3am today.
He was found in the Whitrigg area.
Formal identification has not yet taken place and enquiries are ongoing, police said.
The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
