
A person was airlifted to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the A66 on Tuesday.
The incident, between Appleby and Brough, involved two HGVs and four cars at around 5.10pm.
Another car also received minor damage.
Cumbria police said multiple people were injured, most described as not serious.
Two people were taken to hospital, including the person via air ambulance.
Cumbria police said it appeared that neither person sustained life-threatening injuries.
The A66 reopened to traffic on Wednesday, July 1, at around 7.20am after recovery work and clean-up took place overnight.
