Two fire crews tackled a vehicle blaze on the M6.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was called at about 10am on Saturday and dispatched fire engines from Kendal and Shap to the blaze between junctions 38 and 37.
Crews were in attendance for approximately 40 minutes.
