Firefighters tackled a HGV blaze in the centre of Shap.

The HGV, carrying bales of hay, went up in flames on Main Street at around 1.55pm yesterday, July 5.

Two fire engines attended the incident and were on the scene for around two hours and 45 minutes.

Police also attended as the road was partially blocked while the fire was extinguished.
