The body of a woman has been found in Silloth.
She was found in the area of the lifeboat station at around 2.30pm today, August 22.
Formal identification has not yet taken place and inquiries are ongoing, police said.
Officers are treating the death as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious at this time.
