Following a recent remodel, PizzaExpress Kendal is ready to serve pizza with pizzazz for returning and new customers.
Located just off the bustling high street in Kendal town centre, which is known for being the gateway to the Lake District, PizzaExpress Kendal is excited to welcome back long-standing customers and tourists who are visiting the area.
Only five minutes away from the Brewery Arts theatre and cinema, it’s the ideal place to enjoy a slice of your favourite pizza before or after a show.
Remodelled as part of the brand’s nationwide refurbishment programme, customers of PizzaExpress Kendal will be greeted with an illustration of PizzaExpress founder Peter Boizot, as they enjoy a touch of theatre during their dining experience, with Pizzaiolos kneading and flaring dough right in front of their eyes before topping it off with their chosen fresh ingredients.
As the days get longer and warmer, customers can indulge in one of PizzaExpress’ iconic pizzas in the restaurant’s secluded outdoor dining area – one of only a few in Kendal.
Located in Wainwright’s Yard, where visitors can browse an array of local shops after their delicious meal, the al fresco dining area is the perfect destination for a refreshing spring cocktail, including the Raspberry Cosmo Spritz and Pimm’s Summer Cup, and a slice of pizza during the warmer months.
PizzaExpress Kendal general manager Frank Hamblett-Jones, who began his career as an assistant manager at the restaurant in 2017, and his 20 dedicated team members are excited to show off their remodelled pizzeria.
He said: “I am so proud to lead the team at PizzaExpress Kendal, from our waiter Katie, who has been with us 18 years, to our back of house trainer and Pizzaiolo Aneta, who has been with us 16 years and has helped open some of our international restaurants in Hong Kong and Singapore, the entire team can’t wait to show off our new look.
“With our recently introduced spring menu of new and returning favourites, we can’t wait to welcome back our customers to enjoy their favourite pizzas.”
What’s on the menu at PizzaExpress Kendal?
Customers will also find iconic flavours on the brand’s spring menu, as the pizzeria brand has returned some of the nation’s favourite pizzas to the menu.
Some of the legendary pizzas returning include the Romana American Hottest, a slice of heritage with the Soho ’65, and a veggie inferno with the Vegan Mezze.
For those looking for a lighter take, customers can choose any Classic or Romana recipe on a Leggera base – under 600 calories, Leggera pizzas are served on a Classic sized ring of dough with a hole in the middle filled with a fresh, dressed salad.
There’s also iconic salad options including the ever-popular Bosco or Niçoise (tuna) – on the menu since 1985.
Along with iconic favourites as well as veggie, vegan and gluten free options, kids can enjoy the much-loved Piccolo menu, consisting of Dough Balls, pizza, pasta or salad, dessert and a Bambinoccino all for just £7.95.
