
Vintage scooters, ebikes and a penny farthing are among the lots in the latest Mitchells’ Maritime & Transport Sale.
The 10-day online only auction, which runs from today, May 10 until May 20, includes the penny farthing bicycle, with hand crafted restored wheels. It has an estimate of £500 to £600.
Buyers looking for motorised wheels have five vintage and modern scooters and motorbikes to choose from.
Vintage scooters include a head-turning vintage 2006 Piaggio Vespa LX50 scooter with an estimate of £400 to £600 and a 1999 Yamaha YN50 Neo’s 50cc moped scooter, with MOT and 4,111 miles on the clock, estimated at £600 to £800.

There’s also a 2017 Lexmoto Venom Strike 125cc motorbike with 19,000 miles, log book and MOT which is expected to make £700 to £900.

There is also an ELife 20″ Tourer power-assisted folding electric bike, which comes with parts from another unassembled Elife Tourer, which should make £150 to £250.

Collectors of vintage signs will love the original 6ft by 4ft Esso tin advertising sign estimated at £500 to £600.
But if that’s over your budget, take a look at the three two gallon petroleum spirit petrol fuel cans which have an estimate of £40-£60 for all three among many other fuel and oil related items up for auction.

If you love travelling by sea, now’s your chance to buy your very own private ship’s loo!
Consider bidding for the Blake Lavac Taylors ‘Baby’ marine toilet with an estimate of £120 to £150 and you could be sitting pretty!

And for lovers of marine art, there’s a pen and watercolour painting of the RMS Ophir by the acclaimed marine artist William Minshall Birchall (1884-1941) which is expected to sell for £150 to £250.
