There’s plenty of interest for Workington speedway fans in tonight’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership clash between Oxford and leaders Belle Vue.
The Spires are targeting maximum points against the Aces, who won 51-39 when the teams met in Manchester last week.
Recent signing Craig Cook, the current Comets captain, makes his home debut for Oxford, lining up at reserve against his former club, and also in the Spires team is ex-Comet Charles Wright.
Opposing them for Belle Vue will be Grand Prix star Dan Bewley from Maryport and Australian Connor Bailey, the former Workington number one who will be guesting for the Comets on Saturday.
Aces star Bewley said: “Our away form has been improving with each match, but we need to be firing on all cylinders from the first race because Oxford are more than capable of winning at home.
“We’ve worked hard to get to the top of the Premiership, and we are fully intent on staying there for as long as possible.”
