Whitehaven are back in Championship action on Sunday when they entertain Bradford Bulls at the Ortus REC.
Head coach Jonty Gorley is able to name Will Evans in his squad after he has recovered from a foot injury but there’s no Luca Atkinson who has been recalled by Huddersfield Giants.
Haven will also welcome back Dan Hindmarsh who will resume his loan spell from Castleford. He is the only loan player in the squad.
Bradford boss Eamon O’Carroll has named a 20-man squad for the trip to West Cumbria with Daniel Smith, Sam Hallas and Jorge Taufua all poised to return following their respective injury lay-offs.
O’Carroll has also confirmed that Jayden Okunbor will remain with the club for a further four weeks following the extension of his loan deal.
The 27-year-old arrived initially on a month’s loan from Hull FC, impressing and scoring on his debut against Sheffield Eagles in May, quickly becoming a fans’ favourite.
The towering outside back played a key role in the win over Barrow Raiders last time out, scoring and assisting in the 36-24 win.
O’Carroll said: “We are happy to be able to extend Jayden’s loan for another four weeks. Hen has been a real positive influence on the group since he came to our club, he’s well liked within the group and I feel each week he’s with us he’s getting better. “
