Lanes of the A66 are closed on the Appleby bypass after a lorry fire.
Cumbria police said officers were helping Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service after the incident, which happened earlier this morning, Monday, July 29.
The westbound carriageway and one lane of the eastbound carriageway are currently closed .
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
