[D]ove Nest Group is celebrating 35 years as a leadership development organisation. Since the company opened its doors in 1982, it has helped hundreds of companies develop their future leaders and has influenced the careers of thousands of individuals.
The firm is well known for its pragmatic programmes that challenge, coach and deliver lasting change. Its influence can be found in the boardrooms of many of the world’s best-known brands.
Enlightened organisations recognise the value in people development.”
Dave Moore, co-founder and CEO explains: “Over the years we’ve seen a lot of changes in the way organisations view their talent. Back in the 80’s people talked about ‘training’, whereas now, innovative companies talk about ‘people development’ and see it as an ongoing commitment. Firms now recognise the importance of nurturing their people.
Value is at the heart of everything we do…”
He added: “While the business landscape has changed, our core values have always remained the same. Our goal is to help people and organisations to be the best they can be. Delivering value is at the heart of everything we do. We’re particularly proud of the fact that many of our clients stay with us for a long time. For example, one client came on a programme and got so much value from it, that wherever he went for the next 26 years, he brought Dove Nest in to work with his teams.”
Dove Nest is celebrating its 35th Anniversary with a weekend of challenging workshops, plus some fun and outdoor activities at Crossthwaite Mill, in Cumbria. Past and current clients, partners and staff will be coming together to toast Dove Nest’s achievements and consider their future development needs.
Launch of Eat Sleep Work Retreat
The event also marks the launch of a new initiative called Eat Sleep Work Retreat which allows businesses, families or groups to hire one of Dove Nest’s Lake District venues as a retreat.
Says Dave: “Sometimes it’s good to get away and just ‘be’. Company teams can benefit from casual time together. But it’s not just for businesses. Our venues are also perfect for artists, writers or people from running, cycling or climbing clubs who want to get away and enjoy some quality time in the Lake District.”
Dove Nest employs 35 staff across its three locations in the Lake District. They also have a team of around 40 specialist associates who help deliver programmes around the world.
