[T]he family of a Lancashire woman who died in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack have paid tribute to a loving wife and mother.

Her niece Laura Murray confirmed the news on Facebook this morning.

Michelle had been attending an Ariana Grande concert with her young daughter, Annie star Millie, on the night of the deadly explosion.

She was the mum of the young girl who was pictured being comforted by female police officer after the attack.

A spokesman for Michelle’s family said: “Michelle Kiss was a loving wife to Tony, mother to Dylan, Elliot and Millie, as well as daughter to Mick and Christine and sister to Nichola.

“She tragically died during the horrible event that occurred on Monday night.

“Family was her life and we are all obviously devastated by her loss. She has been taken away from us, and all that love her, in the most traumatic way imaginable.

“We hope to draw from the courage and strength she showed in her life to get through this extremely difficult time.”

Her final social media post featured a picture of the child and an older girl, with the words: “Excited girlies ready to watch Ariana.”

Michelle Kiss was among 22 people – including children – killed in the bomb blast on Monday night, which left a further 119 injured.
