[A] 36-year-old Winderemere man has been arrested in connection with a reported sexual assault which occurred in the early hours of Saturday 27 May.
An area on Lake Road was sealed off for much of Saturday whilst police and crime scene officers carried out their investigations.
It is understood that the attack took place between 4am and 5am on Saturday morning near the police station in woodland near the junction of Lake Road and Beresford Road.
