[L]ake District company, Lakeland Chauffeurs, has received grateful thanks from Lancaster-based hospice, St John’s, for their consistent and unwavering support over the past year. The leading chauffeur company pledged its support in 2016, by donating bespoke, unique experiences for an entire year.
The memorable experiences have included sporting trips, lunches and dinners with the company supplying a door-to-door, flexible and efficient chauffeur service from its fleet of luxury vehicles to the respective destinations, including champagne.
The Ulverston-based firm, which was launched in 2011 by local entrepreneur, Andrew Brown, offers an exclusive, competitively-priced, professional chauffeur service across the North-West region, undertaken in Range Rover and Mercedes vehicles, with organisations such as Glaxo Smith Kline and Groundscope amongst its many clients.
Charitable giving is very much an integral part of Lakeland Chauffeurs’ company ethos, and even more-so as the company continues to grow.
Through its association with St John’s, it has, this year, donated free chauffeur travel to accompany a number of prizes such as transporting two people to the rugby league final in Manchester, providing stylish passage to L’Enclume, the Samling and Gilpin Lodge, and transporting four people on a Christmas shopping excursion to Chester.
Match funding was received for all the winning bids, and this equates to an impressive £1450 of match funding and £1800 raised so far.
The on-going association is one that community fundraiser, Jill Santamera, has outwardly praised: “Having Andrew and the team at Lakeland Chauffeurs on board and helping us in such a significant way has been just tremendous and we are so grateful for the generosity shown,” said Jill. “There is little doubt that these donations have attracted higher bids as a result of the luxury travel being provided; they have added value to our events and saved us valuable time in sourcing unique auction lots. I should very much like to thank Andrew and his team for these generous pledges and giving up their own time to fulfil them.”
