
[F]irefighters have been called to deal with an unsafe chimney in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle tonight.
At 7:15pm firefighters were called to a dangerous structure on Westmorland Street, Carlisle.



A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue service said: “On arrival crews found a collapsed chimney stack.
“One fire engine from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and one from Longtown and an aerial platform from Carlisle East attended the incident.
“Unsafe brickwork was removed by firefighters.
“Crews were at the scene for two hours.”
