Committed to quality food, local producers and positive community impact, Sarah was awarded the OBE in 2015 and is currently the Prince’s Responsible Business Ambassador in the North West for Business in the Community. Sarah was born and lives in Cumbria and says of her appointment
“It is a great honour to be appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Cumbria and I look forward to supporting the Lord Lieutenant in her role.”
In the United Kingdom, a Deputy Lieutenant is a Crown appointment and one of several deputies to the Lord Lieutenant of a lieutenancy area.
