Appeal after two hurt in Carlisle attack

[P]olice are investigating a serious incident that occurred on Friday 28th July 2017 between 3:15 and 3:30pm.

The incident is believed to have begun outside Coral’s Bookmakers on Blackwell Road, Carlisle, and spilled onto Esther Street and Almery Drive, Carlisle.

One of the victims, a 22 year old man, has sustained lacerations to his ear during the incident requiring hospital treatment, and another 20 year old man has been left with cuts, grazes, and bruising.

It is believed that three men are responsible for this incident and they are described as follows:

Male one; white male, mid twenties, 5ft 6″, skinny build, dark hair with short back and sides, wearing dark clothing

Male two; white male, mid-twenties, about 5ft 4″, short mousey blonde hair, fat build, wearing dark clothing

Male three; white male, mid twenties, 6ft, short dark hair which is shaved on the sides, stocky build, wearing dark clothing

A silver A Class Mercedes with a 16 plate registration was believed to have been used in the offence.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward with any information they can provide so that the offenders can be identified.

Anyone with any information should call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask for DC 2194 Lauren Carruthers quoting police incident number CP-20170728-0141, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
