[P]olice have charged a man in connection with an attempted robbery in Carlisle.
The incident occurred at the Spar store on Newtown Road on Friday 28th July between 10pm and 10.30pm.
Donovan Hetherington, aged 27, of Port Road, Carlisle, was charged with attempted robbery. He was scheduled to appear before North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today (2nd August).
Police would like to speak to witnesses or those with information.
