[P]enrith-based fleet branding company Ast Transport Branding has been re-awarded a lucrative contract by the NHS. The Cumbrian business has been awarded a three year contract to apply vehicle livery to all NHS Blood and Transplant vehicles throughout the UK.

Commencing in September, the contract covers all the NHS Blood and Transport fleet’s vehicles including: emergency response vehicles, staff and volunteer transport, as well as its range of specialist vehicles. It had previously been awarded a five year NHS contract back in 2012.

Ast Transport Branding was chosen for renewal of the contract as they were deemed by a NHS panel to be the most economically advantageous tender – the contract is set to run until the 31st August 2019 with an option to extend for a further year until August 2020.

Adam Wellings, Commercial Director at Ast Transport Branding, said: “We’re all absolutely delighted to be re-awarded the NHS contract, I feel it is a real testament to the excellent job we provide at Ast, with national firms relying on our services.”

Ast Transport Branding is one of the UK’s leading transport branding companies. Specialising in commercial signage and transport fleet branding it offers a nationwide service and since it was founded in 2003, has amassed a range of longstanding national household name clients, including Eddie Stobart, Greggs, HSS Hire, Müller Wiseman and Speedy.

NHS Blood and Transplant provide a blood and transplantation service to the NHS, taking care of  blood donation services in England and transplant services across the whole of the UK including managing the donation, storage and transplantation of blood, organs, tissues, bone marrow and stems cells as well as researching new treatments and processes.
