[C]umbria Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which a motorcyclist was sprayed with an unknown liquid.

The incident happened at around 5pm on Saturday (14 Oct, 2017) when the motorcyclist was riding along Hindpool Road in Barrow. He was just opposite the Dock Museum, heading towards Walney Island, when the driver of a black BMW sprayed an unknown substance out of the driver’s-side window.

The substance made contact with the motorcyclist’s face and whilst he has not required medical attention or found there to be visible injury, he has reported irritated skin as a result of the incident.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen this BMW, possibly 118 series, which has blacked out front windows, around the Barrow area as they want to speak to the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police referencing incident 203 of 14 October 2017.
