[P]olice have charged a man with three child sex offences.
David Duthie, 47, of Brough Street, Aspatria has been charged with the following offences:
- Attempting to incite a child under the age of 13 to engage in penetrative sexual activity;
- Attempting to arrange / facilitate the commission of a child sex offence;
- Attempting to sexually communicate with a child.
He appeared at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court yesterday (October 21st) and has been remanded to prison until he next appears at Carlisle Crown Court on 20th November 2017.
No one else is suspected of any offences in this investigation.
The police request that the Court process is allowed to follow its natural course, and ask members of the public to refrain from discussing the case on social media.
